Richard Kunnert, MS. Ed.
Mr. Kunnert retired as Director of the Singer Mental Health & Developmental Center in 1996 after 30 years of serving in a variety of counselor and supervisor positions there. Dick served as a member of the Rockford (IL) Diocesan Intervention Team for over 20 years, and is Chairman of the Mayor’s Task Force on the Homeless in Rockford, a post he also had held for more than 20 years. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Jubilee Center, Shelter Care Ministries, a member of the Illinois Board for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Co-Chair of the Illinois Mental Health Planning & Advisory Council’s Office of Mental Health, a Volunteer Co-Leader of United Way’s 61104 Collaborative project in Rockford, and President of the Mental Health Association of the Rock River Valley.

Dick has facilitated Lead Like Jesus Encounters since 2003 — working with groups of Catholic priests, permanent deacons and ministry professionals, as well as ecumenical groups of clergy and laity, and former prisoners on probation and parole.
